A Discussion of the student Samar Baghdad Ragheb

A master's thesis entitled "the Grief of the Iraqi Tongues  by the Poet Khazal Al-Majidi - Expressive Performance and the Problem of paronomasia" was discussed in the Department of Arabic Language, College of Arts.

The thesis, presented by student Samar Baghdad Ragheb, included four chapters. The first chapter dealt with narrative performance. The second chapter discussed dramatic performance. The third chapter involved performance using diacritics and cinema. The fourth chapter referred to  the problem of paronomasia .

The thesis aims to shed light on the poetic overlap with other arts mechanisms such as narration, drama, calligraphy and planning techniques, and the ability of poetry to open up to different Poetic genera through the production of an intertwined text with it.

The thesis proved the ability of poetry to carry these mechanisms and employ them successfully within the poetic text. It also made poetry an open text capable of accommodating experimental and modernizing movements, especially what is known as open text.

The thesis discussed the overlap of the genres in the grief of the Iraqi tongues and poetry. It presented the practical application of the texts of this group that raised this problem through its texts intertwined with the mechanisms of other arts, which the poet succeeded in raising this problem.
