Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah and under the slogan (By the scientific assessment, we overcome difficulties and achieve accomplishments), the College of Arts held its annual assessment conference for the academic year 2020/2021 on Sunday 28/11/2021 at the conference hall of the College of Arts.

The activities of the conference began with verses from the Holy Quran, the national anthem, and the reading of Al-Fatihah on the spirit of the martyrs of Iraq. The Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Majid Abdul Hamerd Al-Kaabi, gave his speech in which he focused on the general reality of the College of Arts, scientifically and administratively for the assessment year.

The Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies of the College, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Ridha, reviewed the scientific reality of success rates, seminars, symposiums, scientific conferences, delegations, scientific promotions, and research activities.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abed Kazem, The Assiu Dean for Administrative Affairs, referred to the administrative reality, starting with employements, developments, maintenance, equipment and infrastructure of the college.

The Director of the Quality Division, Dr. Najat Abdul Kareem, presented the topic of quality and academic accreditation, and the activities of the Quality Division.

After completing the presentation of the conference's topics, the discussion was opened to the audience about the strengths and weaknesses and how to address them.

To achieve the goals of the conference, the weaknesses were diagnosed and their causes were identified in order to address them according to what is available, both in the administrative and scientific aspects.
