overview Quality Assurance

Quality :

Quality can be defined as:

The employment of the administrative process (planning, organizing, directing and controlling) in a sound and correct manner in achieving work requirements and accomplishing what is consistent with the local market and obtaining an evaluation of continuous improvement of the quality of outputs.

So, quality in higher education translates and measures success and excellence in the educational field to prepare students with qualities and characteristics that make them able to keep pace with information development and continuous progress processes and not limit their role to taking knowledge, which requires students with distinctive or certain specifications that make them able to absorb everything that is new.

Quality Principles:

In order to implement the quality system, the educational and academic institution must set its own principles and pillars by planning in agreement with the labor market in order to fill the shortage in the local or even regional Labor market if it was necessary. Among the most important of these principles (we will only mention some of them due to the inability to mention them all) are:

1- The support of the higher management to the quality team because such support has an effective impact on the progress of the institution and filling the gaps of imbalance in it.

2- A quality policy must be formulated in a clear and understandable way, through which the objectives that the institution seeks to achieve are determined.

3- There must be an organizational structure for quality through which tasks and responsibilities are distributed to all individuals by involving all employees in the organization in achieving the strategy planned by the institution to identify the challenges and changes that the institution may face and the duration of its adaptation and response to these changes.

Quality objectives:

It can be summarized in the following points:

1- Getting rid of the many formal or informal wastes of time, which in turn lead to a decrease in the level or efficiency of the educational output.

2- Providing an appropriate scientific environment to support development and ensure its continuity and preservation.

3- Regularly monitoring control measurement tools and their standards, and working to develop them continuously.

4- Achieving development in participation through the participation of all employees in the development process, through their participation in development courses and workshops.

5- Focusing on the extent to which the outputs contribute to the local market data in the fields of humanitarian specializations and ensuring the improvement of outputs and their quality.

6- Be careful to measure performance and its quality in a way that is commensurate with the reality of the academic activities of the instructors and urging them to raise them.

7- Spreading the culture of team work through the principle of integration and interdependence and strengthening the bonds of loyalty for their institution.

Quality Standards:

Among the most important standards that were set to achieve the desired goals are:

1- The quality of curricula and courses and their development in a line with the rapid scientific development.

2- The quality of infrastructure in the educational sector.

3- The search for scientific competencies that are educationally and cognitively sound.

4- Optimal management of human and financial resources to serve the educational process and its development.

5- Giving the beneficiaries a positive impression about the services provided by the college through its outputs.

These standards and how to achieve them can be clarified through the following:

1- Preparing and forming a team to make a procedural plan for development.

2- Self-assessment of the college by forming a leadership team for assessment and making a plan for this assessment.

3- Identifying improvement and development gaps in the areas of the year.

4- Developing a plan to improve academic performance.

5- Implementation of the improvement and development plan for the gaps.

6- Monitoring and reviewing performance and preparing to obtain the accreditation and quality certificate.
