On Monday 29/11/2021, the Department of English at the College of Arts / University of Basrah organized a visit to the Children’s Specialized Hospital as an awareness, social and humanitarian initiative adopted by the Deanship of the College of Arts under the supervision of professors and a team consisting of some students from the department to see the service and humanitarian reality in the hospital.

The visit included a tour in the hospital to get acquainted with children with cancer, to learn about their needs, reduce their suffering, provide a set of material and in-kind gifts, and provide moral support to these children to overcome the disease and recover.

At the end of the visit, the director of the hospital administration expressed his thanks and appreciation for this initiative and urged all colleges and institutions to follow suit.
