On Sunday, 5/12/2021, the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts / University of Basrah organized a book fair and various cultural activities with the participation of students of the Department of Arabic Language / Evening Studies and under the supervision of the Dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Majid Abdul Hameed Al Kaabi.

The fair aims to achieve cultural and knowledge awareness, spread the scientific spirit among college students, raise public awareness and activate the role of books in academic and public life.

The event consists of a book fair, panel discussions, a concert and a symposium on violence against women.

The organizers of the event, including instructors and students, called for organizing more similar activities and activating the various cultural activities because of their role in raising the awareness  and the scientific spirit of the community.
