On Monday morning 12/13/2021, a master thesis entitled (Allegoria in Arabic Proverbs Books, a Study in Structure and Function) was discussed in the Department of Arabic at the College of Arts / University of Basrah.
The thesis presented by the student Diaa Asaad Mokhtadh included defining and discussing the presence of allegoria in accordance with modern curricula, its various hypotheses, and its active presence in the ancient Arab heritage.
The thesis concluded that the ancient heritage is rich in animal and non-animal allegoria, which was included in proverbs and formed through its system.
The thesis recommended that this article is still raw material and is subject to critics and scholars, to discover its content, which covered large areas of ancient Arabic proverbs.
