On Wednesday morning 15/12/2021, at the Department of Arabic at the College of Arts / University of Basrah, a master thesis entitled “Arguments in Al-Rihaniya Reviews” was discussed.

The thesis presented by the student Hadi Hameed Askar included three chapters. The first chapter was an introductory chapter, the second chapter discussed the rhetorical argument, and the third chapter dealt with the linguistic argument.

The thesis aims to clarify that the language contains tools and mechanisms of persuasion whose purpose is to influence the addressee and change his/her beliefs.

The thesis concluded that the messages presented in the book Al-Rihaniya reviews contained many rhetorical, linguistic, and other techniques that were intended to influence the addressee.

The thesis concluded a study of the reviews book and studying it in an argumentative way from other aspects that the thesis did not address.
