On Thursday 16/12/2021, the Department of Translation at the College of Arts / University of Basrah organized a workshop for postgraduate students entitled (Thesis Writing Skills) under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Jawad Kazem Jaber, the instructor of the academic research subject, and in the presence of the Head of the Translation Department, Prof. Zainab Sami Hawal.

The workshop, in which the postgraduate students in the department participated, aims to explain the nature, methodology, and methods of writing research, techniques of qualitative and quantitative approaches, how to write a research/thesis proposal, how to use previous studies, evaluation of research results, and how to write a thesis and address its parts.

The supervisor called on the students to abide by these paragraphs when writing the thesis to avoid mistakes that many make for not adhering to the correct methodology when writing.
