On Sunday morning, 9/1/2022, a master thesis, entitled (Noise Pollution of Industrial Workshops in Basrah and its Impact on the Health of Workers), was discussed at the Department of Geography and Geographical Information Systems.

The thesis presented by the student Diaa Shamil Jabar included four chapters. The first chapter discussed the foundations of the study, the second chapter included the noise levels of noise pollution in the city of Basrah, the third chapter discussed the ratios of noise doses to industrial workshops in Basra, and the fourth chapter dealt with the impact of noise on the health of workers in the industrial workshops of Basrah.

The thesis aims to indicate the levels and percentages of noise doses of industrial workshops, and to identify the adverse health effects caused by noise pollution in industrial workshops to workers.
