Basrah University Organizes a Symposium Entitled “The Impact of the University Environment on Forming the Personality of the University Student”

The Department of Philosophy at the College of Arts / University of Basrah organized a scientific symposium entitled (The Impact of the University Environment on Forming the Personality of the University Student - Reading in Intellectual Variables).

The aim of the symposium, which was presented by the Asst. Lecturer Hussain Jassim Shati with his paper (Organizing Student Behavior on the Campus / Legal Reading of Student Discipline Instructions), the Asst. Lecturer Ghofran Ali Muhammad with her paper (The Ethics of University Education and its Impact on the Student), and the Asst. Lecturer Muntazar Kareem Qassem with his paper (The Faculty Member and its Impact on Building the Personality of the University Student) to familiarize the student with his/ her rights and duties in order for him/ her not to violate these instructions. As well as introducing the university professor and his/ her effective effect in refining and building the personality of the learner, his/ her personal traits, what university education is, and the importance of teaching ethics in universities, as it is the first and inevitable step in any society.

The symposium dealt with the ethics of university education and its impact on the student and ethics as a method aimed at building the student’s personality in the scientific institution. It also dealt with the general organizational rules set by the administration aimed at protecting public order in general and determining the student’s relationship with the university campus. In addition, it dealt with the relationship between the student and the instructor, which was and still a matter of great controversy because this relationship is of great importance in building and refining the student's personality.
