The Women Empowerment Unit, in cooperation with the College of Arts and the South Electricity Distribution Company, and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abd Kazem Al-Khafaji, organized on Monday, 24/1/2022, a symposium entitled (How to Rationalize and Preserve Electricity Consumption).

The symposium aims to:

1. How to rationalize and preserve electricity consumption.

2. Awareness of society on how to make optimal use of energy.

3. Knowing the quantity in megawatts per unit of electricity consumed.

4. The extent of the impact of the violations on the electricity transmission lines within the same region and not putting electricity meters.

In the symposium, the researchers called for increasing media awareness of how electrical energy is consumed, lifting violations on residential power lines, setting electricity meters in all houses, and printing promotional posters and awareness-raising instructions on how to rationalize and preserve electricity consumption in cooperation with satellite channels and the media.
