The College of Arts Organizes a Field Visit to the Central Library

Within the activities of the Department of History at the College of Arts / University of Basrah, a group of the department’s professors escorted the students of the first stage to the central library for the purpose of informing the students about the reality of the library and the mechanism of the work of its administrative units and how students benefit from the services provided by the library to them and all its visitors. The students were introduced to the method of searching for the books they need, and general information was provided to the students, educating them about different types of cultures and diverse experiences, enabling them to continuously follow up on developments in knowledge in various fields, and working to make good citizens who are able to serve themselves and the community in which they live and to provide them with books that develop their various technical skills, which helps them to develop their profession and raise the level of their performance.

At the forefront of the recipients was Prof. Dr. Tawfiq Douai, Secretary-General of the Library, and a group of employees and officials of administrative units who kindly provided adequate explanations to introduce all the details of the library and the mechanism of work in it.

At the end of the visit, the students expressed their admiration for the valuable books and references in the library, as well as the ease of access to the required book.
