On Monday morning, 1/3/2022, a PhD thesis, entitled (Signs in the Encyclopedia of Imam Mahdi <peace be upon him> for Sayyid Muhammad Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr), was discussed at the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts / University of Basrah.

The thesis presented by the student Haider Ghadeeb Zghayer included three chapters. The first chapter discussed personal signs, the second chapter dealt with temporal, spatial, rhetorical and social signs, and the third chapter included semiotic signs.

The thesis aims to identify the deliberative study.

The thesis concluded that the pragmatic approach, with its great diversity, can be a complementary approach to the previous linguistic approaches, and it can be benefited from in reading the Arab heritage in a thorough reading from which we can discover many treasures in this huge heritage.
