As part of a series of campaigns carried out by the Deanship of the College of Arts and under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Maitham Abdul-Hussein Al-Wazzan, the Department of Geography and Geographical Information Systems at the College of Arts / University of Basrah organized on Thursday 10/3/2022 a massive afforestation campaign for the college gardens.

The campaign, in which volunteers from the third stage students participated, which included planting 80 diverse seedlings, aimed to instill a spirit of initiative in the hearts of students and encourage them to maintain perseverance and voluntary work, and to provide the appropriate climate and environment for students, in a way that contributes to creativity and achieving the best results at the scientific level, preserving the civilized image of the campus, expanding green areas and creating an atmosphere characterized by vitality and beauty, in line with the university's pioneering and distinguished scientific role.
