Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Majid Abdul Hameed Al Kaabi, the Student Committee for Science and Culture in the College of Arts organized various cultural activities in the gardens of the Central Library in Bab Al Zubair Complex.

The Dean of the College, accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abd Kazem, inaugurated the cultural, intellectual and artistic activities of the week.

The first day included a variety of topics, beginning with playing the national anthem and reading Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs from the instructors and students, a speech by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, and an introduction to the departments.  The activities also included the establishment of a bazaar and a book fair, which will continue throughout the week, while the days of the week will witness various activities such as holding a poetry festival and theatrical and musical activities.
