Basrah University Organizes a Symposium on Artificial Intelligence in Information Institutions

In the presence of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Majid Abdul Hameed Al Kaabi, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Redha Al-Tamimi, the Department of Information and Knowledge Technologies at the College of Arts / University of Basrah organized a scientific symposium entitled (Artificial Intelligence in Information Institutions).

The symposium, which was presented by (Teacher Abdel Nabi Shanta Faraj, Professor Dr. Ali Abdel Samad, Professor Dr. Amal Abdel Rahman, Assistant Professor Dr. Salman Judy Daoud, Teacher Tariq Taha Abboud, and Assistant Teacher Abdel Jalil Ghadban Mahdi), aims to introduce the importance of artificial intelligence in educational institutions and its role in education and the provision of educational institutions in order to advance the educational level.

 

The symposium included several themes, the most important of which were:

 1- Applications of artificial intelligence technology in educational institutions: advantages and obstacles.

 2- Internet of things, its relationship to artificial intelligence and its investment in information institutions.

 3- The relationship between logic and artificial intelligence.

 4- Legal regulation of artificial intelligence technology.

 5- Artificial intelligence skills.

The symposium aims to clarify the concept, objectives, programs and applications of artificial intelligence and services that can be provided to information and educational institutions and the leading role of these programs in the field of e-learning.

The researchers called in the symposium to focus on these systems and the possibility of their application in educational institutions in order to advance the reality of the college and keep pace with the information time.
