The President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Majid Abdul Hameed Al-Kaabi, inaugurated the exhibition of scientific products in the College of Arts.

The exhibition included the projects of undergraduate and postgraduate students, in which paintings embodying a phase of the contemporary history of Iraq were displayed for the History Department, an exhibition of book products from the translation and history departments, an exhibition of antiques of historical periods, and an exhibition of artworks produced by students of the College of Arts.

The president of the university was briefed on the various exhibition halls set up by the college and listened to those in charge of the scientific products of several fields, and he stressed the quality of scientific research and the strengthening of integration with state institutions.

The Dean of the College of Arts honored the President of the University with a gift presented by the Departments of Translation, Arabic Language and History on the occasion of the Conference on Women and the Challenges of Globalization, as well as a gift from the Extra-curricular Activities Unit.
