On Tuesday, 5/4/2022, the E-Learning Unit at the College of Arts / University of Basrah organized a scientific symposium entitled “Electronic Journalism and Its Role in Spreading University Culture.”

The symposium, which was presented by Dr. Bassam Abdel Aziz Abdel Jabbar, aims to identify the dissemination of culture in the field of electronic journalism, how to deal with it and use it, and what are the positive and negative things about it.

The symposium included several themes, the most important of which were:

 1_ Identifying the spreading culture in the field of electronic journalism and how to deal with it.

 2_ The advantages of electronic publishing.

The researchers in the symposium called on the need for laws that pertain to the citizen and to emphasize the establishment of a radio station to educate the university community regarding scientific media and specialized scientific information.
