The latest version of the QS of subject 2022 ranking showed that the University of Basrah is one of the best universities in the world according to the latest version of the ranking of the most consulted universities in the world, and the best performance of the University of Basrah was in petroleum engineering.

This is the twelfth edition of the QS classification of scientific subjects, in which this year (1543) universities participated. The University of Basrah ranked (101-150) globally and the Department of Petroleum Engineering obtained (H.index 56.5) and (citation of paper 77.4), which made it one of the best universities in the world according to the cited classification text.

It is worth mentioning that the University of Basrah earlier topped all (508) Asian universities that competed for the Oscar for Higher Education in Asia and won first place in the Leaderships and management team topic. It also ranked second in the Asian Higher Education Oscars for the Annovation of Art, which it had ranked first in last year.
