Basrah University Organizes a Workshop on Glimpses from the Biography of Imam Hassan Al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the grandson of the Noble Messenger, Imam Hassan Al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him, on the 15th of the blessed month of Ramadan, the Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Department of History at the College of Arts, organized a workshop entitled (Glimpses from the biography of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him).

The workshop, which was presented by Prof. Dr. Salma Abdel Hamid Al-Hashemi, aims to discuss the biography of Imam Hassan on the anniversary of his birth, in commemoration of this fragrant memory.

The workshop included talking about his naming Al-Hassan, his nicknames, his birth, and the occasion of celebrating Qarqi’an with the birth of Imam Al-Hassan, when Muslims congratulate the Messenger (peace be upon him) with the blessed birth and to touch on his upbringing, qualities and virtues in the Holy Qur’an and the sayings of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, then his role during the caliphate of his father, Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and his assumption of the caliphate after his father’s martyrdom on the 21st of Ramadan. Imam Hassan, peace be upon him, inherited a heavy legacy represented by Muawiyah’s rebellion and the weakness and splitting of Imam Hassan’s army, which forced him to make reconciliation, and the last topic was about his martyrdom as a poisoned martyr.
