Basrah University Organizes a Workshop on the Virtues of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in the Book the History of the City of Damascus

Under the patronage of the respected Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Majid Abdul Hameed Al-Kaabi, and under the supervision of the Secretary-General of the Central Library at the University of Basrah, the Heritage and Manuscripts Unit, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Central Library represented by the Continuing Education Division, organized a workshop on the occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) under the title The Virtues of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in the book The History of the City of Damascus by Ibn Asaker (571 AH).

The workshop, which was presented by Prof. Dr. Tawfiq Dawai Al-Hajjaj and Mr. Abdul-Jabbar Obeid, aims to recall the virtues of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in the book The History of the City of Damascus and other books from which they drew their information and discussed them.

The workshop included narrations in the Prophetic Sunnah that talk about the virtues of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and their importance for Muslims to follow.

The workshop recommended the importance of continuing the workshops and the repetition of holding them with the virtues of the Companions and their leading role in establishing the correct beliefs.
