The University of Basrah kept the leading position in the British Times classification for sustainable development for the second year respectively, as it was the first rank, followed by the University of Babylon and then the University of Baghdad, in addition to obtaining the thirteenth place in the Arab world.
It is worth mentioning that forty-seven Iraqi universities and colleges registered competitive positions in the Times classification for sustainable development for the year 2022, which included (1406) establishments from (106) countries around the world. The official published results indicated that the University of Basrah ranked (301-400) universally then Babylon University (401-600), and the University of Baghdad ranked (401-600).
It should be noted that the British Times classification for sustainable development works on estimating universities by achieving several United Nations goals out of (17) goals, including quality of education, health and luxury , partnerships, industry and invention.
