At the Department of Information and Knowledge Technologies at the College of Arts / University of Basrah, a master's thesis entitled (Information services in the library and house of manuscripts of AmAm Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine: a case study) was discussed

The thesis presented by the student Malik Jawad Hashem included four chapters. The first chapter discussed the general framework of the study. The second chapter included information services in endowment libraries and the third chapter discussed the field study. The fourth chapter dealt with results, conclusions, recommendations and suggestions. 

The thesis aims to identify the historical establishment of the library and house of manuscripts of AMAM  Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and the qualifications of the human resources working in it, as well as the available information services, both traditional and electronic. 

the thesis conclusion:

 1-The first introductory guide to the activities and works of the library and its affiliated centers and units in 2015

  2-Lack of specialists in the field of  

information and libraries.

The thesis came to:

1- It is necessary to update the introductory guide to the activities of the library and its affiliated centers and sections to keep it in line with the developments and updates of the library.

2- Making cooperation agreements between the administration of the digital repository and universities, institutes and other institutions in order to obtain sources of information to enrich the website of the digital repository and provide them in the form of a full text in order to serve researchers and beneficiaries in terms of saving time and effort.
