IELTS Test in the College of Arts

The English Language Proficiency Exam (IELTS) was conducted in the Korean Scholarship Lab at the Living Language Center / College of Arts, and this is the first IELTS exam at the University of Basrah, note that the Living Languages ​​Center at the College of Arts is the first center in Basrah Governorate and the Southern Region that had been authorized to conduct the exam by the British Council.

The process of receiving the participants and conducting their electronic and paper registration began at eight o'clock in the morning, and the exam officially began at nine o'clock. The exam consists of two stages, the first includes a test of listening, reading, and writing skills, and it takes three hours.  The second stage includes a speaking skill test, which is conducted through direct conversation with an English examiner from the United Kingdom, through a special electronic platform. It takes twenty minutes for each examinee.

it is worth mentioning that there are two types of IELTS English language proficiency tests: (academic) and (general).

It is required as a condition for admission to international universities and work purposes, as the exam took place in both types at the Living Language Center and according to the participant's desire.

  The exam took place smoothly and professionally, and it was administered by a staff specialized in computer technology and the English language from the College of Arts, who were specially trained for this purpose.
