An Instructor at the University of Basrah Participates in a Scientific Workshop Entitled (Authority and Publication Problems)

The instructor at the Department of History - manager of the Heritage Unit and Manuscript Verification at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah, Dr. Tawfiq Dawai Al-Hajjaj, participated in the scientific workshop entitled (Authority ,Publication Problems and Reasons for not spreading the book and its popularity among readers)

The workshop included several topics ,the first topic discussed the historical roots of blogging in the early years of Islam, the Rashidun, the Umayyad, and Abbasid eras, the second topic dealt with the factors that contributed to authorship in those eras, and the third topic talked about the invention of printing machines and the beginning of the printing era in the 17th century AD ,and the fourth topic included the entry of printing machines into Egypt, Lebanon and Iraq, and the contribution to encouraging media scholars in authoring and printing.

The instructor’s participation in the workshop aims to manage it first and give a lecture during the workshop and mentioning historical evidence cited by sources and references.

 The workshop included a full explanation in addition to allocating time for scientific interventions that enriched the lecture .
