In the presence of the respected Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Himdhi Diab, the respected Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Majid Abdul Hamid Al Kaabi, the respected Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Kazem Al-Khafaji, and the respected Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Reda Al-Tamimi, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Arts, and in cooperation with Al Mada’in News Agency, organized a press course entitled “Quality of press news and its impact on the media.”
The course aims to train trainees to write the news in a professional way suitable for publication.
The two-day course included two presentations. The journalist Salam al-Fayyad's first-day presentation was on the basics of writing a press news. on the second day, the lecturer, Ali Salman Al-Aqaba, talked about practical training on transcribing content and information and writing the news.
The two lecturers called for the course to be repeated and to be on three levels, and the time to be more than an hour to provide the trainees with more important information in writing the correct news and reports that serve their work.
