Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, the respected Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, the respected Prof. Dr. Majid Abdul Hamid Al Kaabi, and under the slogan "Global Warming and Its Effects on the Environment".

The Follow-up / Safety and Health Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit and the Directorate of Civil Defense in Basrah, organized an instructional seminar entitled "Global Warming and its Effects on the Environment".

The seminar, presented by Director of Civil Defense, Brigadier General Tahsin Ali Sari, Lieutenant-Colonel Muayad Abdul Hassan Shamkhi, and  Mrs. Yusra Muhammad Ali, focused on  the phenomenon of global warming, its causes, effects on the environment, and ways to prevent it.
