After  finishing the proceedings on the first day of the the Department of Translation  first annual scientific conference,  2021/2022 which continues for two days 25-26 May 2022 under the slogan (Language is the vessel of knowledge) and under the title (Bilingualism and Mental Perception).

 Under the patronage and presence of the respected President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, the presence and supervision of the  Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Majid Abdul Hamid Al Kaabi, the presence of the General Supervisor, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Haider Abdul Redha Al-Tamimi, the presence of the General Coordinator, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs,  Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Kazem, and the presidency and management of the president of the translation department, prof. Zainab Sami, the second day proceedings were finished on Thursday 26 May, which consisted of two sessions. The first included four research papers.  Two of them are virtual by the electronic circuit from Al-Mustansiriya University and the University of Mosul, the third is from the Department of English and the fourth is from the Translation Department at the College of Arts, University of Basrah. As for the second session, it dealt with only one research by a researcher from the Translation Department.  The conference concluded its work with the speech of the then president of the translation department, the recommendations that resulted from these Proceedings for the two mentioned days, and the distribution of certificates.
