An instructor in the Department of History at the college of Arts at the University of Basrah, Prof. Haider Abdul-Ridha Al-Tamimi, published a book entitled (The Position of the Soviet Union on the Korean War 1953-1950).

The book consists of (269) pages divided into four chapters. The first chapter discussed the Soviet policy concerning Korea from January 1945-January 1949, the second chapter discussed the position of the Soviet Union on declaring the Korean War January-November 1950, the third chapter dealt with the position of the Soviet Union on the entry of the People's Republic of China into the Korean War, November 1950-June 1951, and the fourth chapter included the position of the Soviet Union on the truce negotiations, July 1951-27 July 1953.

The book was printed in Amman / Jordan by the Dar Al khalij for Publishing and Distribution.
