The University of Basrah Achieves a Great Achievement by Being Nominated for Two Academy Awards

The University of Basrah was able to achieve a great achievement by being nominated for two Oscars for the Times Higher Education Classification of Asian Universities.

Where the University of Basrah was nominated among 8 universities out of 600 Asian universities, which was held at Fujita Medical University in Nagawa, Japan.

The delegation participating in the ceremony was presided by the President of the University of Basrah Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, accompanied by several deans of the university colleges.The Iraqi ambassador in Tokyo, Mr. Abdul Karim Kaab, also attended, as well as the representative of the local government, the Administrative Deputy of Basrah Governor Dr. Durgham Al-Ajwadi. 

 It is worth mentioning that the University of Basrah had achieved many scientific achievements during the last three years, including that it had significantly advanced its position in many international rankings and it also manufactured several devices and equipment that effectively contributed to saving the lives of citizens during the Corona pandemic such as manufacturing the medium that transmits virus samples, as well as the artificial respirator.
