The Follow-up / Safety and Health Unit, in cooperation with the Basrah Oil Company and , the Health and Safety Authority in the university of Basrah, organized an awareness course entitled ( Fire Control ).

The course, presented by Mr. Zulfiqar Hussein Ali and organized by Mrs.  Yusra Muhammad Ali aims to identify the causes of fires and how to put them out using the fire extinguishers.

The course included many topics, the most important of which were the causes of fires, types of fire extinguishers, and how to use them.

The lecturers in the course called for holding awareness sessions periodically for workers and regular maintenance of all types of fire extinguishers in the buildings.
