Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah,the respected Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, the presence of the  Dean of the College of Arts, the respected Prof. Dr. Majid Abdul Hamid Al Kaabi, the presence of the General Supervisor, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs , the respected Prof. Haider Abdul Redha Al-Tamimi, The College of Arts held its annual scientific conference for the graduation research of the fourth stage students entitled ( Graduation Research as a Source of Knowledge) on Wednesday, the first of June, in the conference hall. (20) research papers participated and the discussion committee consisted of a group of professors in various specializations.

 The conference started with verses from the Holy Quran, then the national anthem was played,  and the speech of the Dean, in which he confirmed that this conference holds after a two-year hiatus because of  the Corona pandemic.

The Dean mentioned that the College of Arts, while holding  this conference to pay attention to research, expresses its main mission, which is to graduate distinguished researchers, thanking the Scientific Committee for its continuous work, and wishing the students who participated in the conference success.

For his part, Prof. Haider Abdul Redha stressed in his speech the importance of this conference, referring to a statistic about the number of research submitted to the college and the research nominated for the conference, congratulating the efforts of the students and thanking the committee for its great efforts.

Then a movie for one of the students was presented, and the students presented sober theoretical scientific research that contributed to the service of society, then the committee discussed the conference's research, where each researcher presented a summary to the committee and the conference was attended by a large academic and social presence.

This conference comes to reveal promising scientific talents in its first step towards the world of research and knowledge.
