Discussion of Student Ali Mohammed Jaber

On Wednesday, 29 June 2022, in the Department of history at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah, a master's thesis entitled (Abdul-Amir Muhammad Amin and his approach to writing history 1925-2015) was discussed.

The thesis presented by the student Ali Mohammed Jaber included three chapters.The first chapter discussed family upbringing and cognitive self-building, the stations of education and career work since 1925, the second chapter discusses the historian Al-Amin and his method in writing modern and contemporary history, and the third chapter dealt with an analysis of his effects and printed scientific literature (1963-2008).

The thesis aims to identify the personality of the historian Abdul Amir Mohammed Amin by studying his biography, his social, cultural and scientific life and his scientific output in the history of the Arabian Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula separately.

The thesis concluded that this character had an active and distinctive role in historical writing, covering his writings over three centuries (17th -19th) century and he became a reference for many historians and researchers of that period by how he pioneered it.

The thesis recommended continuing to write about academic personalities who played a scientific role in all fields of knowledge, provided that the field of history has the basis for dealing with them.
