The living languages Center at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah held the English language proficiency exam (IELTS) on Thursday, 29/9/2022 in the multimedia language laboratory, and the IELTS exam was conducted in it’s two types (general and academic) according to the participant's choice. The first part of the exam, which includes the skills test (listening, reading, and writing) started at nine in the morning, and the second part, which includes the speaking skill test, started at one o'clock in the afternoon.

It is worth mentioning that the living languages Center at the College of the Arts / University of Basrah is the only center authorized to administer the IELTS exam by the British Council.
