The University of Basrah has launched its digital repository of scientific research and postgraduate theses

 The repository contains published research by university researchers in all international and local journals, with more than 28,400 published research papers and more than 2,000 PhD and master's theses in various disciplines. It provides all researchers at a global level with an important database of scientific sources through metadata-based research methods, It is also programmatically linked to the websites of international journals to elicit important information and provide it to the researcher .

The repository will contribute to raising the university's global ranking by increasing the number of citations for the products of its researchers and the digital repository of the University of Basrah is characterized by several technical and scientific advantages, including the availability of accurate search results and advanced features that allow the researcher to quickly access the required specialization through the use of advanced mining algorithms.

The repository is also distinguished by its software link with research sources and abstracts in international sites and indexes (Scopus, Clarivate, Google Scholar).

In addition to providing different and accurate statistics on each scientific product of the university and the possibility of downloading files for open source research and downloading abstracts for research and theses that are not open source. It is worth noting that the mechanism for updating this repository is designed in a dynamic and automatic manner that makes it easier for the researcher to upload the output in one window, and it is automatically described and classified in the repository.
