Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Majid Abdul Hamid Al Kaabi, and on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Scientific Cooperation with scientific societies and civil society organizations Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Arts at Basrah University, organized a scientific seminar entitled (Safe Food for a Healthy Tomorrow).

The seminar, which was presented by (Prof. Dr. Amal Saleh Aboud, Assis. Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Rahim Salal, Dr. Bassam Abdullah Abdul Jabbar, lect. Afkar Fadel Karim, and researcher Asaad Ali Shaheen), aims to:

1. Raising awareness of the importance of paying attention to the International Day of Nutrition and its various dimensions.

2. Identifying the risks of malnutrition or lack of food on public health.

3. The living reality of our food and its compliance with health and activity.

4. Focusing on choosing a proper healthy diet.

 5. Encouraging economic cooperation among developing countries.

6. Guidance to pay attention to agricultural production and its development.

 7. Helping to transfer technology to poor agricultural countries to increase production.
