The History Department at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the National Security Agency / Basrah Security Directorate, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a scientific workshop entitled ( Awareness Towards Sabotage and Forgery of Antiquities in Iraq)

The workshop, which was presented by Prof. Dr. Adel Hashem Ali, Prof. Dr. Najat Abdul-Karim Abdul-Karim, First Officer Haider Abdul Rasoul Abbas, and First Officer Mushtaq Razak Nassif aims to educate Iraqi citizen about the importance of antiquities and their preservation and protection of Iraqi history and  encouragement to present the antiqcities kept to the Department of Antiquities, as well as to spread the culture of antiquities in Iraqi society by addressing all media and satellite channels as a national duty that enhances the greatness of Iraqi history and introduces the present generation to the importance of its antiquities.
