Prof.Dr. Shukri Al-Hassan, an instructor in the Department of Geography and Geographical Information Systems at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah, participated in the discussion panel on the water crisis, pollution prevention and its management policy in Iraq, which was held by the Institute for Regional and International Studies (IRIS) of the American University in Sulaymaniyah on 10/27/2022.

Dr. Al-Hassan represented the college at the invitation of the aforementioned institute, and participated in the panel discussion as a speaker on the issue of water pollution and the dangers of its scarcity in southern Iraq and ways to confront it.
