On the occasion of Pink October.. Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Translation Department at the College of Arts held an awareness scientific seminar entitled (Breast Cancer: Its Causes and Treatment Methods) on Saturday 29/10/2022 at Al-Farazdaq Hall in the College of Arts.

The department hosted Dr. Marwa Sabah Al-Lami, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, to deliver the lecture titled above in this seminar, in which she provided a full explanation and important information about the nature of this disease, its symptoms, methods of examination, and the need for early examination to diagnose and control it. The attendees raised many questions about the disease, which were answered by Dr. Al-Lami in detail, who enriched their information with facts that are presented for the first time.

 Manar Thaer Shaker, the student at the fourth stage in the department, also provided important information about this disease through the presentation and the special publication that was prepared for the seminar.

At the end of the seminar, the two parties called the head of the translation department and the session director, Prof. Zainab Sami Hawl and Dr. Al-Lami, to hold future symposia on other gynecological diseases that contribute to raising awareness against these diseases that have spread in recent time.
