Department of History at College of Arts Holds a Panel Discussion for Postgraduate Students

The Department of History at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah held a panel discussion for postgraduate students in the department for the academic year 2022-2023.

The session included several discussions, the first of which was moderated by Prof. Dr. Shaker Majeed Kazem, in Islamic history, in which PhD student Khalid Hamad presented his topic, which was entitled (The Conditions of the Jews through Greek and Roman Sources 500 BC - 200 AD).

The second and third discussions, on modern and contemporary history, were moderated by Prof. Dr. Anwar Jaseb Shanta, in which the PhD student, Wissam Nuri Abdel Wahed, presented her topic entitled (Basra Brigade Police (1933-1958) - a historical and social study-) and the student, Israa Khairy, presented her topic, which was entitled (Pakistan's Nuclear Program 1955-197, a Historical Study).

At the end of the panel discussion, the door for discussion and interventions was opened for the professors of the department who attended the session, and presented ideas and opinions aimed at enhancing the work of the postgraduate studies students, in order to serve the scientific progress of the students' research, and to reach the required level.
