Director of the International Iranian Center for Education and Studies Visits the College of Arts

Dr. Haitham Muhammad Al-Abadi, Director of the International Iranian Center for Education and Studies, accompanied by the Assistant for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Muhammad Abd Kazem Al-Khafaji, visited the library of the College of Arts to agree to open a place for this center in the library building.

The director of the library, Prof. Dr. Alaa Al-Issawi, touched on discussing the work of the center, and the discussion of the previously signed agreement of understanding between the two countries.  It was agreed on several matters that are in the interest of the University of Basrah in general, and the College of Arts in particular, and twinning with Ferdowsi University, which owns (50) peer-reviewed journals equivalent to Scopus journals.

 

It has been agreed on:

 1- Establishing the digital library, which was one of the most important things that the library management sought to implement, and it is a library that will be linked with the largest digital library, which is the optical library of the shrine of Imam Reza, peace be upon him, including important books and rare manuscripts.

 2- Maintenance and restoration of books and manuscripts.

 3- Holding joint workshops, seminars, and scientific and training courses.

 4- Visiting professor.

 5- Exchanging postgraduate students, and benefiting from the office capabilities available at Ferdowsi University.

 6- Joint supervision of research, theses and dissertations.
