Under the supervision of the president of the History Department, Dr. Najat Abd al-Karim Abd al-Sada, the History Department at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah, and on a voluntary initiative from some students of the second stage, held a welcoming Party for the students of the first stage for the academic year 2022-2023.

The party was opened with a welcome speech by the department President , who urged the students to pay attention to the scientific aspect, to exert more effort and perseverance in order to achieve academic excellence, and to develop their scientific levels by benefiting from the scientific material they receive at the university by a qualified group of instructors. They were also welcomed through words and the distribution of symbolic gifts, wishing them success in this stage of their university studies.

In conclusion, the students expressed their thanks and gratitude to the president of the department and the deanship of the college for their interest in and care for the new students.
