The Department of History at the College of Arts Holds Panel Discussions on Islamic history, Modern and Contemporary History

The Department of History at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah held two panel discussions for postgraduate students in Islamic history, chaired by Prof. Dr. Nizar Abdul Mohsen, and two-panel discussions in modern and contemporary history, chaired by Prof. Khawla Talib Lafta. 

The discussions for the students included several topics:

1- Motilal Nehru, his life and his role in the Indian national movement 1861-1931, by student Basem Jawad.

 2- Nasser Al-Saeed, his life and his role in the Saudi opposition 1923-1979, by the student Fatima Kazem Yassin.

3- Historical narratives of the Fatimid state through the Diwan of Ibn Hani Al-Andalusi 326-362.

 4- Jewelry and Beauty in Ancient Egypt during the era of the New Kingdom 1580/1085 BC, by student Nadia Abdel-Saheb.
