The instructor in the Department of English at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah, Assistant Professor Dr. Nizar Abdel Hafez Obaid, participated in the Third International Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities, which was held in Istanbul / Turkey.  

His participation came through attending two workshops on scientific publishing and electronic archiving, during which he presented a research paper in which he talked about the contemporary narration style in the novel, and discussed several issues in linguistic and literary studies and translation.

At the end of the conference, Dr. Nizar Abdel Hafez was honored with the Shield of Creativity and the Distinguished Participation Medal.
