The Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems received a group of 30 students from Al-Hartha Preparatory School for Outstanding Students - Sixth grade (Literary Branch) accompanied by the assistant teacher, Farhan Daghim.

During the meeting, a lecture was given to the students entitled (Geography and Community Service) by Prof. Dr. Rashid Abd Rashid, and the teacher, Dr. Firas Sami Abdulaziz.

Another lecture entitled (Environmental Research Laboratory and its Importance in Geographical Research) was delivered by the chemical specialist Zuhair Ghazi Awwad.

During their visit, the students were briefed on the environmental research laboratory and the library of the Geography Department.
