Professors and students of the Department of History at the College of Arts at the University of Basra visited the Church of the Virgin Mary of Chaldea, located in the Al-Qishla-Al-Ashar area in Basrah Governorate, to extend congratulations to the Christian brothers, on the occasion of the approaching Christmas of Jesus, peace be upon him, and to learn about the historical and archaeological importance of the church.
They were received by Father Aram, who welcomed them, expressing his happiness with this visit, and gave an introduction to the history of the church, whose construction dates back to 1903, and was built in the style of Italian churches, and the restoration that took place on it. At the end of the visit, the participants expressed their thanks and appreciation to the brothers working in the church, wishing them all the best, and praying for them to fulfill their aspirations.
