The Department of History at the College of Arts Holds Panel Discussions on Islamic History and Modern and Contemporary History

The Department of History at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah held two panel discussions  for postgraduate students in Islamic history, chaired by Assist.Prof.Dr. Moayad Ibrahim Muhammad, and two-panel discussions in modern and contemporary history, moderated by Prof. Dr. Raghad Faisal Abdel-Wahhab, The Panel discussions for the students included several topics, as follows: 

 

 

1- The Islamic Conquests between the historical narrations and the orientalist reading until the year 656 AH, by PhD student Nasir Bidallah Taher.

 2 - The establishment and development of the police institution in Basra 14 AH - 247 AH, by master's student Ammar Mohsen Wali.

3- Hamel's strategic project in Vietnam and the American position on it 1963_1964 by Hawra Abd al-Sattar, PhD student in modern and contemporary history.

 4- The oil extraction industry in the United Arab Emirates for the period 1971-1985, by master's student, Muhannad Wadi Rahima.

The students presented their topics and summaries about them, after which discussions were made by the department's professors who attended the panel discussion and presented many ideas and opinions that contribute to strengthening the methodology of the student's research work.
