The Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah held seminars for postgraduate students, which came under several titles, as follows:

 1- (The sedimentary effect of the Shatt al-Arab stream - a geomorphological study), by the student Hussein Youssef Abdullah, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Namir Nazir.

 2- (Geomorphological changes of the sand dunes in Al-Zubayr district and their environmental effects), by student Reham Abbar Lazem, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Safia Shaker.

 3- (Spatial Modeling of Morpho-climatic Forms in Wasit Governorate), by student Asala Abdel-Aziz Mansour, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdel-Wahhab.

 4- (Spatial Analysis of the Functional Change of Commercial Land Uses in Al-Zubayr District), by student Zainab Ali Nasser, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Abdel-Amir.
