Under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Majid Abdul Hamid Al-Kaabi, the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah held an expanded scientific seminar to study the concept of literature and its significance in the Arab heritage.

An extensive paper on the study of literature was presented by Prof. Dr. Loay Hamza Abbas, in which he emphasized that the subject of heritage is one of the very valuable and very important subjects in our lives; it determines how we look at the world and how we look at ourselves, explaining the manifestations of the concept of literature in the Arab heritage.

The seminar was presented by Prof. Dr. Diaa Al-Thamri, and was attended by a large number of teachers and researchers, and it received wide discussions from the attendees.
