Discussion of the Student Ibrahim Jabbar Zahi’s Thesis

On Sunday morning, 12/2/2023, a PhD thesis, entitled (critical analysis of discourse in Arab reception, an analytical critical study), was discussed in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah.

 The thesis presented by the student Ibrahim Jabbar Zahi included four chapters. The first chapter discussed (critical analysis of linguistic supportive discourse, and critical approaches), the second chapter included (critical analysis of discourse in Arab reception, theoretical conceptual achievement), the third dealt with (critical analysis of discourse in Arab reception, conceptual and procedural achievement), and the fourth chapter discussed (critical analysis of discourse patterns and functions).

 The study concluded the importance of this field or the inter-cognitive approach in Arab studies and the speed with which Arab researchers dealt with this incoming knowledge product with the diversity of its applications, and the deviation of its Arab procedures in pursuit of adaptation or investment.

 The study recommended the necessity of urging studies and collaborative research because of their importance in the accuracy of the results, and work on building critical awareness of the language.
